About Stanton Drilling Inc.
Stanton Drilling Inc. has its origins in the mid-1940s in the town of Pakenham, Ontario, with a homemade wooden drilling machine owned and operated by the late Austin Stanton. From the beginning the business did well; by the mid-1950s a "Bucyrus Erie 20W drill" was running almost continuously and another was added in 1966.
Peter Stanton, B.Eng '78 Carleton University, P.Eng Alberta '80, upon graduation worked in the foundation drilling industry in Alberta. Returning home in 1982, Peter acquired a P.Eng Ontario '83, and incorporated Stanton Drilling Inc.
